The one most commonly cited is screeched (nine letters). However, one ought to mention also scratched, scrounged, scrunched, stretched, and the plural nouns straights and strengths (all with nine letters).

The complete Oxford English Dictionary also indicates the existence of scraughed, scrinched, scritched, scrooched, sprainged, spreathed, throughed, and thrutched.

The OED also cites a single instance of the ten-letter word scraunched, from the 1620 English translation of Don Quixote.

ouch! harsh telling that i complain for no reason...it would help tho if i actually did! obviously you didnt read the question--i asked if anyone knew anythin to try, not for someone to call me things im not...its also low to say ppl wuld be happy eating my garbage when im not even wasting food...oh yeah i totally hate them so i go out and buy tons of fruit and veggies, go home, put them on a plate, and then throw them away! wow--im such a great person! next time before you say things bout someone you need to get your facts straight....oh by the way you should know what im talking about but if you dont then remember the rude things youve said to ppl on the internet for no reason and youll remember what you said---but my impression of you so far tells me that going thru all those would take a VERY long time
